This morning Kathryn has gone to the National Museum to learn all about Cambodia. I dare say I should have gone with her but come on I have been there before and I felt she needed her own space!!
So I decided to indulge myself. Went to the best place for western coffee (western prices) sat down and checked my finances - what will my pension cover? Decided it would cover an Australian haircut (Australian prices!!).
Now there I was innocently thinking about how short I would go and what colour when I saw this man pull up outside the cafe on his scooter. He checked his hair, made sure he looked his best and came in. He went up to the youngest waitress and started chatting - I just thought older Australian man young girl ........ He ordered his coffee and came over in my direction. It's was worse than I had thought he was a jehovah witness - he sat down and climbed on to his hobby horse. Now I couldn't have that so I climbed on to mine - talked education in Cambodia for 5 mins and he went away. One up to me I really felt I deserved that hair cut.
I went to book an appointment- she is in Australia. So no posh haircut, no new colour, no indulgence. I was walking sadly back to the hotel when I saw a massage place and decided that if my pension could afford a haircut it could afford an expensive pedicure- in I went. Two hours later I left having decided my pension could also afford a foot scrub, manicure and facial. Great!!
I am now indulging myself with a mango shake and a swim as I wait for the intelligent one to return. I hope she has done her homework - I have asked her to find out a few things, as I am too busy to do it myself.

Chris Mmmmm mango milkshake, wonderful. Good to hear you had a restful 25th, a definite change of pace than the 'norm'. Happy new year Liz.
Chris & Rog The serious decisions & choices that have to be made now we are pensioners makes life so interesting. Right choices made off on to the next adventure.
Jan How dare she go to Australia when you needed her. Still your hair has looked good on Cambodian prices and the other stuff sounded far more fun than hair colouring.
