We had a late start, and packed up slowly this morning as Eamon was still not well. It was only 100kms to Katherine so that was fine. We arrived around lunch time and immediately liked the town as it's quite green and not as run down as many of the recent towns we've visited. We checked in and made ourselves comfortable at the Shady Lane Tourist Park - it's really nice with lovely trees and palms everywhere and new amenities - a nice change from the last few days!

We whiled away the afternoon, relaxing and looking at what to do the next couple of days we're here. Dad then went off into town to get his hair cut and pick up some supplies. Mum, Renee & Eamon went to the pool - it was nice and warm and a couple of other families were there too - the weather's been great today - not too hot, and a nice breeze.

Mum did a tag team with Dad when he returned - the local YMCA had a BodyPump class on at 5.15pm and it was great with about 12 people in the class. Quiet night with the birthday cake deferred for yet another day with Eamon still not feeling like eating.
