Early start today - our plan was to drive from Kings Canyon through to Stuart's Well Roadhouse via Erldunda. We left before 10am and were saddened to hear via CB of a bad accident near Yulara (Ayer's Rock Resort) - the road to Uluru was closed, but that didn't affect us as we were due to head east on the Lasseter Highway. We stopped for lunch at Erldunda and said hi to the emus that we saw a few days ago. We were making such good progress that we continued the extra 100kms through to Alice Springs and checked into the Stuart Caravan and Cabin Tourist Park instead of the roadhouse.

It was quite hot even at 4pm so the kids braved the pool and went for a swim and the obligatory play in the playground. Then it was off to Woolworths to stock up on food, water and beverages (and petrol thereafter) for the next few days. Butterflied lamb for dinner back at the van park!
