Day 12! We walked down to the Lincoln memorial, Washington memorial and the area where Martin Luther King gave his speech, which was really good to see! Then we went to the U.S. Holocaust Museum, which was a really good museum (apart from the horrible subject matter obviously), I learned so much! The only downside was there was far too much information to take in because the place was so huge. We just kept going with the museums and headed over to the Smithsonian Air and Space museum which was so cool! We went to see a planetarium show about the birth life and death of stars, narrated by Whoopi Goldberg so that just made it cooler. Learned a lot in there too, especially "how things fly" from the children's exhibit ha! Such an educational day. We stopped on the way home in a sports bar for some dinner and happy hour drinks, then came back to the hostel. We were supposed to be going out tonight but Ty couldn't make it so we only ventured out for one drink because we're exhausted after all the museum-ing! Need an easy going day tomorrow. L x
