We had a long drive from Franz Josef to Wanaka but it was a very scenic drive with lots of stops and little walks with amazing views. We were driving pretty much all day so by the time we got to our hostel it was early evening. Odette, me and the two girls we stayed in Franz Josef with (Emma and Kristeena) went out for a curry then headed back for an early night as we were all still recovering from the night out before! We got up early to fit in a little wander around Wanaka before our bus left at 10:30am. Wanaka is such a pretty little town with amazing scenery, the views of mountains and Lake Wanaka were incredible. We really wished we could hop off the bus there for a couple of days but we had already made plans to meet people in Queenstown and didn't want to miss that!
