We got to Mount Cook on Friday afternoon and went for a short bush walk then just made dinner and watched a movie in our room. There wasn't a lot else to do there other than a really long hike which we weren't up for! The next day we went to Rangitata, the weather improved on the way there so as soon as we arrived we put shorts and a T-shirt on and went for a walk down to the river which was about an hour away. Oddy and Ceri-lee got in the river for a dip but it was way too cold for me, the water comes directly from a glacier so it literally is ice cold! So I just paddled! Lisa cooked us a really nice seafood linguine for dinner and the hostel had loads of board games so we just played games all evening!
