We arrived in Cairns at 5:15am, we were not able to check in to our room until 2pm so we had a few hours to kill. We were still tired so found an area in the common room and lay down for a little snooze when some friends we had met on Fraser Island saw us and said we could go in their beds because they were off out on a snorkelling trip! After another long over night bus we finally arrived at our Christmas destination on 23rd December. We stayed one night with Odette's friends Danny & Jenna which was lovely, they have a beautiful house with a swimming pool and a really cute little one year old son called Ryan. We arrived at rainbow beach ready for our Fraser Island adventure the next day. Rainbow beach is the base for the tour and is very tiny, there isn't a lot there just a couple of shops and a beach. We had to get prepared for the tour on our first day, packing 3 days worth of stuff into our tiny day bags again like we had to for the outback! Our hostel in Noosa was also a great location, just a 5 minute walk from Sunshine beach, so that's where we went for the day! There was a 3 hour coastal walk we could have done but someone told us it's really hilly and we are getting quite sick of walking all the time, especially in 30 degree sun and uphill!!
