Sunday 30th August - Cruise Day 1

We had to check out of our hotel this morning and go along the road to another hotel to pay our account. We weren't happy with the standard of our tiny room cause when we booked the room 6 months ago, the photo of the room was huge and in fact rooms 1 and 2 were what were on the web site.

We eventually caught the Vaperetto to get to the Cruise Port area. All went right until the second to last stop when we were ordered off the boat as it wasn't going any further. What a scramble! It was already hot and we still had a way to go. Jannie pointed us in the direction as she had the map and up over a bridge that had lots of steps. Some guy carried our bags for us and we thought "What a gentleman" but he wanted to be paid for his efforts €10. Oh well. The sweat was pouring off us all and when we got around the corner there was the Railway Station. b*****. We were going the wrong way.
