Saturday 29th August pm
We had to find a pharmacy and eventually on the corner of a canal there was one where Jannie bought some throat lozenges.
Murano is a lovely little island where at every turn there is a photo opportunity. Click, click, click.
Lunch time and we were hot as and could all feel a beer coming on. Stopped and looked at several cafe/restaurants but eventually found an air conditioned one through the back and all had beer and salads, except Paul who had something like viena schnitzel, all on it's own.
Back on the street, no footpath, and headed for the jetty to catch a boat back to Venice. Jane never did pay for the boat tickets!!
Jane and Paul wanted to walk the lanes of Venice and after about 40 minutes were all feeling somewhat thirsty and a bit light headed from lack of something to drink stopped at a McDonalds for water for the ladies and milkshakes for the boys.
We got talking to a family from further down the Italian coast and after about 30 minutes they had to rush away to catch a train as they had only come for the day.
We walked back to our rooms at Piccollo weaving our way through all these alleys and over a canal, past the supermarket where Paul bought a large bottle of water which won't fit in the fridge.
We have the alleys sussed in this part of Venice and haven't been lost yet. Jannie's map has helped though.
