Monday 31st August - Last Day in Venice

We actually leave port today but not until 5.30pm so we had time to spend in Venice before we left. We got off the ship and headed for the Vaperetto Jetty and paid for return tickets, €15 each, to St Mark's Square which is the tourist trap of the whole of Venice. We knew there would be 100s of people.

We got off the ship at the Cruise Jetty just off the entrance to the square and we needed a toilette!
Pay a Euro at the Tarbac and have a coffee at the counter and then you can use the toilet for free, Great system.
The day had dawned very foggy and we were for the first time in a long while feeling comfortable with the temperature.

We wandered around the shops at St Mark's Square and looked at all the merchandise that only rich people buy. A Rolex watch in one window was €17,300, bit out of our league.
