With a nice rest day at Carnarvon we didn't bust a gut to roll out this morning. The weather had dropped off quite a lot and there was a lot of cloud cover in the sky. A nice breakfast of toasted cheese and salami sangas, and we were ready to pack and go. Our target to Geraldton was only 472 ks away. With some cool air on us we did a quick 193 ks to Overlander before we took our first break. Had a coffee and skipped fuel. We did meet up with a retired couple riding Hyabusas around Aus also. They left the Sunshine coast two months ago and were taking their time about it. We headed off and the weather which was a nice 27 degrees now began to drop dramatically. It went back to 16 degrees and the skies ahead were turning darker. Soon the drizzle started on the visors and this turned to a light rain. We pulled into Binnu to put 10 litres of fuel in to get us to Geraldton. Binnu is one of those places you don't want to be stationary too long. Johyn took the time to put his liner in his jacket whilst I armed myself just in case. Back on the road and the flora started to show some great colours. This coupled with the rain gave us some new smells. Bit different from all the dead carcassess we normally sniff. It was decided to have a lunch in North Hampton. A little cafe called the the "Little Pickles" A nice sandwich to be had. With this consumed we now only had a short stint to Sunset Beach in Geraldton. Staying at the Big 4 which literaly walks onto the beach. We chose a cabin to avoid the chance of rain saturating our camping gear for pack up tomorrow. Got some groceries, acouple of stubbies and a bottle of red.

Col Are you eventually heading through Esperance? My sister said it was really nice there on her trip around Australia. Have been enjoying the trip with you in your blogging... cheers Col
Mick Rentsch Make sure you go to the war Memorial in Geraldton, very moving.
George Did I read John paid $6 for a coffee? What happened to the Silver Chalice?
johny-stef-aus-trip-2015 George. The chalice was stowed deep in the bowels of my pannier. Not easily accessible. But she is getting engraved after this trip for all the tours she has done.
johny-stef-aus-trip-2015 Thanks Dad and Mum.
johny-stef-aus-trip-2015 Col. Will be heading to Esperance. Will chase it up
