Some caravan parks are more popular than others - that's all I'm going to say!
We had a great time with Nick last night - being spoilt rotten. And it continued in the morning because he turned up at the site with a handful of smuggled out pastries and croissants!
He drove with us to the start, determined to witness the point on the run when we had less than 200 miles to go. He then returned home via a visit to Seaton.
We had a slow start because the road was very hilly. I found a short route on the map - between two roundabouts, which would have saved us a quarter of a mile - but on closer inspection it turned out to be the main runway of Bristol Airport! Needless to say we took the planned original route.
Greg on the other hand got a little bit too close for comfort and got moved on by the police. Apparently, so the officer said, pilots in approaching aircraft had been radioing in! (Greg does have an awesome close up video of an Easy Jet plane landing if anyone's interested?!)
We were really blessed by a complete stranger today. When Greg filled up the van with diesel at the petrol station and went to pay, the previous customer had left £50 toward our fuel bill! Of course by now he'd already driven off - what a great and generous man - thank you.
Inspired by all this kindness and the sunshine (and fuelled by Nick's croissants and pastries) we ran a long second leg which meant just two short legs to finish the day in the centre of Bridgwater where we met two lovely local gentlemen on their way to play snooker. They each gave us a pound and agreed to be photographed with the ball for our final pic of the day.
We had a real sense of getting there today - and even began to work out at what time of day we might cross the line....no, no clues!
So the facts. 690 miles run with just 170 miles to go. After ten miles tomorrow we have run 700 miles. After 20 we are in Devon. It hardly seems possible. Have been reviewing and reading out all your wonderful comments this evening - it makes us feel really special. Sincere thanks - they really help and certainly inspire us. Keep them coming : )

Pat Mason John just want you to know I have been reading the blog every day. Fantastic! both of you are amazing.
Ben and Lau Run Forest, run! I can't believe you are all nearly finished! Your blog is so inspiring to read before bed. With some really lovely pictures to look at too... I will be buying the book! Keep going. Not far to go. I really can't even begin to grasp the reality, and distance you have covered. But Ben and I are big brother every night, and spying on your dot moving further down the country. Take care! See you all soon. Lots of love. Ben and Lau xXx
Keith Ah, only the lovely devon and cornwall to go, fantastic. Its a bit hilly round there though so have you picked the flatest route? The shortest? The quietest? The hilliest? A route you read elsewhere ? Or will you decide each day? Enjoy and savoir as it will be over soon.
