Wild Camping 500m from the finish/start was a good call. It meant we got a good night's rest and didn't have a 45 min drive from the campsite that would have been unneeded pressure after yesterday's exhausting late finish. It's incredible how the body can revive itself. The revised strategy for today was to cover 4 mile sections so that if I still couldn't run JT had the option to, and then have a rest or carry on and I would do what I could - picking up food and drink to eat on the walk. As it happened - after a short walk to warm up the foot I found I could run lightly on it . So running with my right foot toe first (to avoid pressure on my heel which was still complaining about yesterday's long limpy walk) and my left as flat and as light as possible to avoid pain and pressure I was able to shimmy along at an average of 10.30s. Physio Nick said it would be better to run (but not hills) to allow more rest time, so thankfully in this way we where able to stay together through beautiful, sunny (sorry to all of you in the wet south) gently undulating lowland scenery and run three 10 mile sections in an average 2hr 20min allowing ourselves 45 min breaks to ensure we finished the day relatively early. Which we did with a run/walk time of 7 hrs 3 mins. Not bad for someone who could hardly walk yesterday. Our hope is that it will not have caused too much stress and that we will be able to repeat the process tomorrow. It may be slow but it's great to be running again : )
Thank you for all the wonderful messages of support - they really help and we love reading them at the end of the day. It really gives us energy when we need it most.
Can't believe we are only a day and a half away from the boarder! WooHoo!!

Seb I think you left something back in the highlands. Are you sure you don't want to go back and pick it up?
Andy T On may way home from a gig. Had a few beers and have sore feet. Sound familiar? Great to keep up with you adventures. Never do things the easy way do you. Less than 100 mob matches to go. Top effort both of you.
