Big drive yesterday after a slight change of plans. Arrived at Douglas-Daly, a conservation area a bit further on that our original planned camp. Had been told about this area by another traveller and decided our original destination, Edith Falls, could be done after we left Darwin. We arrived after a brief stop in Katherine to the camp area on the banks of the Douglas River. This section is dry but luckily for us the park had a pool. Today we explored the area, scrambling over rocks to see the Arches, rock formations where the river moves through and went swimming in beautiful clear, warm water at the Douglas Hot Springs. This was definitely a change to all the freezing swimming pools we have been in lately! Into Darwin tomorrow, so excited to see familiar faces. Mum and Dad arrive late tomorrow night and before they arrive we will catch up with our old Sydney friends and fellow Kinabalu climbers, Steve & Michelle.
