So back into Alice after leaving the West MacDonnell Ranges. Nice to be in phone reception and have green grass under our feet. These few days have been spent enjoying the huge jumping pillow, tearing around the park in a two seater racing cart and visiting a few tourist sites that we haven't been to before. We decided on the National Transport Museum and the boys loved checking out all the trucks and cars here. We also visited the Desert Park, a wildlife park with various birds and reptiles all native to this area. This was pretty well done and we all enjoyed the walk around. We also visited Emily Gap and Jessie Gap in the East MacDonnell Ranges, both nice spots. Jarrod and I have taken some time to run again after a couple of weeks without decent paths or areas to run. We have also eaten out a couple of nights, treating ourselves. One night managing to catch Jill and Richard before they headed for home. This was a nice meal out the local club and a good chat about all our travels. We extended our stay by a day to allow for last minute groceries and organising the van for the last stage before home. Jarrod and I can't believe that we are talking about home. So much planning and work has gone into this trip and to think it's almost over makes us just a bit sad. On the road again tomorrow, making our way to Uluru.
