Devils Marbles today to camp in the conservation park. We arrived after a short drive from Tennant Creek. We are staring to notice the temperature change now but still holding out in shorts. We hesitated briefly at three ways, very tempted to head across to Queensland but our thinking remains to do the centre and save the east coast for another trip. So arrived at Devils Marbles, a collection of round boulders laid out over the landscape. These proved an exciting walk for Tully as we clambered in small spaces and over gaps to get to the top of some of the rocks to a great outlook. Standing on top at one point we are sure we saw Jill and Richard drive through the parking area, and take a photo. We hope they saw us waving, if not as they look closely through the pictures they might get a nice surprise. We sat for the afternoon watching the colours on the rocks change with the sun and Tully played with a little girl Leila, who was also traveling for an extended time with her parents. We were hoping to also see Brad and Tracey here. We had been in and out of contact over the last few days and it seems they were catching is. However with very limited phone reception it's been like playing tag and we think we might just miss them by a night.
