I knew it... the pope IS making an iPope, Vatican catch-up, Youtube channel. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, refer to my earlier blog and read this: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/7846446.stm. Seems like the Vatican is catching up with the times and it explains what all the screens and speakers in St. Peter's square are there for.

Anyway, I managed to get in touch with some of the folk who're going, or are already in Zanzibar at the same hospital where I'm going. Over the past couple of days, I've been having a panic about spending a month on my own in a new faraway mystical (mystical as it has two Z's in it's name) place, but I've slowly come to realise that everything will probably fall into place. I'm trying to take a nonchalant (my favourite word of the moment!) attitude to the whole thing and my fears have been allayed by those who are having a great time over there already!

Off to Naples tomorrow morning (home of the infamous mafia), and as our host for the weekend says: 'You don't look rich - no-one will bother you' - an extremely tactful statement! One week till Athens too (and I haven't even started my essay, which is the whole point of being here - somethings never change!) Ciao x
