I got back from Kendwa on Monday and spent my last week in Stone Town suffering from "24 hour malaria" or so I like to think. I had a fever, headache, nausea, muscle cramps, and joint pain - so I (being a hypochondriac) immediately started taking the malaria treatment, which made me feel even worse as it contains quinine which gave me tinnitus and nausea. Oh what a joyous day... i'm hungover, my camera has a 'lens error', and i have to pack all my stuff together for the next 2 weeks. You see I'm leaving the hospital in pursuit of scuba diving, monkeys, dolphins, Nungwi (of course!), beaches etc. which promises to much more fun than standing on a ward round with twenty tanzanian medical students until every single person has examined every patient.
