Pronto... I find it odd that Italians answer the phone by saying 'ready'. Anyway... went to castel sant angelo yesterday, which famously featured as the illuminati hide-out in 'Angels and Demons'. There was an awesome view from the top of the building, although the rest of the building was rather dull. No 'il passeto' or not one that we were allowed to see anyway! There was a modern art exhibition on display throughout the rooms there, but I don't really 'get' or like modern art so the entry charge wasn't really worth it.

Our flat has developed a problem with leaking water... Daniella our landlady had said that we must keep the air conditioning on at 25C but both Phil and I thought this was ridiculous as (1) we're paying the electricity bill and (2) we're used to living in a lot colder in Glasgow. But it seems she had good reason to demand this as mould has started to grow on the walls and ceiling. Never fear, however, Daniella, our saviour came in to clean it all up and promised that if we keep the heating on then we won't have to pay the electricity bill at the end. She was probably thinking the stereotype about Scots being stingy is true!

Bought our eurostar train tickets for Naples and Florence... the latter of which I'm going to tomorrow! Ciao! x
