More museums today... which means more statues, more old coins, and more getting shouted at in Italian for touching things that I'm not supposed to - "non toccare!!!" I'm bored of museums now, so I'm not going to another for at least a week!
Had my first ice-cream from one of the famous gelateria dotted all over Rome - delicious! I've also managed to eat pizza every day that I've been in Italy so far, but they have so many different types that I don't think I'm going to get bored of it!
Went to the Vatican this evening to see it all lit up and ended up watching some ceremony involving the pope on big screens in St. Peter's square. There were loads of chairs set up and quite an audience. I like to think that it's a catch-up of last Sunday's service for those who missed it - a bit like E4 catch-up or BBC iPlayer except it'd be called iPope or Pope catch-up. Anyway, there was lots of chanting and "Amens" which made the whole thing a little too creepy.
Anyway, it's not all fun and games; I have a sore throat and I think I've pulled some tendon or something in my foot from all the walking. I think a day of rest in the Villa Borghese with a book is in order tomorrow. Arrivederci!
