Wow... What a day! I woke up at 7 having not printed boarding passes, no money in my bank account and unaware of what time the taxi was supposed to arrive - not good. Things got worse when two taxis were ordered by accident and one of the drivers started to pick a fight with Phil demanding 5 pounds from him to go away - we hadn't even left Glasgow yet! Still at least the flight to London went without of hitch. Gatwick was a little confusing as we actually managed to leave the whole terminal and had to check in again! Some minor issues presented themselves when I tried to take money out at the cash machine - apparently I had reached my credit limit for the day despite the fact I hadn't even taken any money out that day. This was resolved by use of a more reputable cash machine. We had planned on getting the express train to termini - the main train station in rome. However, the train only left once an hour and an illegal deal of sorts was performed behind the desk to get us into Rome quicker by minibus. This resulted in the worst display of driving etiquette ever seen with the hard shoulder being used as a normal lane, no concept of a safe braking distance and speeds only reached before by concorde... However we got there safely and reached the apartment by the metro. The apartment is lovely and the lady who owns it has 5 cars - one of which is a porsche! She gave a lift to the supermarket which is super expensive by the way. We've just arrived back and I'm soooo tired... Early bed me thinks.
