Day 3 - A cloudy wet day yet us Brits still managed to burn!

It rained all night... And all morning! Had to get the anoraks out to go to hospital!
On arrival at hospital we went to the gynaecology clinic which was surprisingly quiet compared to when we saw it last, we think it was some sort of public holiday today as there were minimal patients and the medical students were all trying to skive off too, either that or the Sri Lankans refuse to venture out in the rain! Despite the lack of patients Rachel and Jess both managed to do a vaginal examination! We then went back to the ward when a really nice consultant did some teaching with us, Jess and rach had to do a role play, they showed the rest how it should be done including how to talk above a whisper!!

Left hospital around 12pm and walked back to the fort with an ice lolly, luckily the rain had stopped by this point but it was still cloudy, we got changed then went to have a read/sleep on the grass overlooking the sea... It's a hard life! We then embarked on a run, in the sweltering heat, again very sweaty! While we were sat recovering we saw lots of turtles in the sea below us, they were amazing! Apparently they are there everyday so we'll definately be back!

Decided against the beach party idea, we went for dinner and sat back at our guest house for a few drinks and planned our travels for the next few weeks! Exciting!

Now in bed.. Cockroach firmly trapped underneath a glass in the bathroom!
