My final full day in Malawi was always going to be a calm one, since we had to head to the airport just after midnight.
The alcohol consumption the night before had certainly taken its toll. I managed to move from bed to the sofa. On another day the sun was out & this would have been perfect for some last minute sun bathing by a pool. Scotty was feeling unwell too, though his was illness related rather than drink. After attempting to sit outside for five minutes the heat was too much & I returned to watching Archer on the sofa.
Plans for a KFC lunch were abandoned as I didn't feel like eating at that stage. The rest off the afternoon was spent watching films before finally getting showered & ready for dinner at 19:00. I was starting to feel better now & was looking forward to dinner at Mama Mia's. The number one restaurant on trip advisor in Malawi, is located just outside the town mall. Only ten yards from where I had eaten lunch yesterday.
Mama Mia's has a European style outdoor area with soft lighting. We opted to sit there & our meal was accompanied by a singer on the guitar. In typical fashion Don arrived at 19:30, Scotty waited to see what Amir & I ordered before choosing his dish.
I of course opted for the avocado pizza how could I not. Scotty did manage some food but was not feeling well & headed home. The rest of us weren't too far behind him.
Back home I rested on the sofa for a couple of hours before getting up to head off to the airport.
