I decided to run around the neighbourhood in area 47 instead of going on the main road. This made sense in terms of less cars & people. Though it was harder to navigate. The first mile went to plan but on the second I discovered I had looped back on myself. Rather than turning round & going the way I knew I did what any man would do & plod on trusting my instincts. After two & a quarter miles I felt as though I should be back at Scottys house. Though I didn't recognise the street I was on. I decided to walk home from this point. When my map kicked in back home it turns out where I had stopped was 75 yards from his, but with a house in the way! Homing instincts almost got me there.
To pass the afternoon I was happy lazing by a pool as the sun was out. Therefore it made sense to go back to Ufulu where we had been yesterday. Scotty got some work done while I did the obligatory few 'lengths' before lying down on the worlds hottest sun lounger . When designing a sun lounger, black plastic is the only thing you can choose that is worse than white plastic. After splashing copious amounts of water to cool it I was finally able to lie on it without 3rd degree burns.
Scotty headed off to do some more odds & ends & I casually spent the afternoon in a pool, sun lounger, beer cycle.
When headed to a bar in the business district as we waited for Don to finish work. It was ladies night, but at six o clock there weren't many around.
After dropping her at home we changed and went to the Shack to watch the Wednesday night volleyball. No teams were short of players & sadly Alex's game has been called off. I got chatting to a Welsh lass called Kelly who manages one of the lodges in Lilongwe & was also down to watch the volleyball for the first time.
