I slept until 11:00 & probably could have slept for longer but we needed to get the day started.
I chatted with the Chigoli volunteer, Amir, staying at Scottys', over a left over KFC breakfast.
Alex & Don had already been to the shop to stock up on supplies. When they arrived we drove up to the lake near the hydroelectric dam. As it was a bank holiday weekend we had to pay to grab a table. It was not overtly busy & we had a few drinks with some snacks.
Don had friends coming to town who had arrived earlier at her place than expected. We drove over with apologies & alcohol, which were thankfully accepted. Don's home is in a newly built part of the city. More Marbella than Malawi the large houses with balconies & gardens are a far cry from other parts of the city.
We spent the majority of a very enjoyable evening listening to music & chatting on the balcony overlooking the garden, with her four friends. We enjoyed a tasty dinner of beef & rice. Late in the night we popped to the sunbird hotel for last orders.
