We both headed for a light breakfast at 09:15 with sore heads. The thought of having to fly home is never a good one. When your flight doesn’t leave until after 23:00 and check out is at 12:00 it’s not the best of scenarios.
Packing was a success and done in less than 30mins. We spent the morning relaxing in the room while we still had access to it.
We dropped off our bags with reception then walked in the blazing heat to Casa Rosso. This is such a lovely spot we felt we had to pay one more visit before we headed home. They looked after us very well again. Crisps and water were served alongside the wine, as we watched the world go by under the shade of the umbrella.
Back at the resort we grabbed lunch in the snack bar, then sat for some drinks. Once again in the shade. We moved across to the Barefoot bar and I had one final dip in the sea. The fish came to say goodbye in the crystal clear water.
The rest of the day was spent by our pool. We had a final bake on our sun loungers. After this I wasn’t feeling particularly too good, & became worried about the journey home.
I went for a shower by the pool bar as it was close to where we were sat. It looked nice and was clean, but there was no hot water. Actually though this worked in my favour as the cold shower made me a lot better. Becky went for a shower below the restaurant, which is where I had planned to go. Her shower turned out a lot better as it was hot.
Both feeling refreshed we headed for our final meal. It was quite a surreal experience as we had got into a nice routine of dinner, drinks in our bar then bed. Tonight though after having a few goodbye drinks with the barman while chatting to some young Swedish lads, we headed down to the main reception for our journey home.
