Today started in the most relaxing of fashions. Upon arrival we had been given 15minute vouchers for a free massage.
This spa hut is located by the water slightly away from the other buildings. The setting is relaxing enough on its own, the massage lived up to its surroundings. I had a back and head massage while Becky had her back and legs done.
All we could do after was lie down. We headed to the beach along from the snack bar and grabbed two very well placed sun loungers. The breeze kept us cool as we watched people walk along the beach. I managed to get in the water up to my knees but the sea here is all rocks so I didn’t feel comfortable venturing in any further. They have tried to build a path of white rocks in the sea which we saw someone navigate, with my balance though I didn’t fancy taking on that trip. Pardon the pun.
Lunch was taken in the terrace restaurant, lots of fresh salads to rejuvenate us. Here is when we really appreciated how hot it was. Away from the breeze it was stifling.
A brief return to the beach after lunch where we witnessed a girl come down in high heels then promptly fall off a sun lounger. Needless to say they were English. “That drink I just bought was free, did you know that all inclusive means you don’t pay?” The mind boggles.
My bald head was starting to feel the effects of the sun. Luckily for me, less so for Becky I had remembered my American flag bandana. We grabbed some sun loungers by the pool for the rest of the afternoon. Becky made it into the pool, so proud. Once she was in she even attempted some lengths. It wasn’t long until Nigel noticed us and came in the pool for a chat. He hadn’t recognised me in my unintentional disguise of bandana and sunglasses.
Watching the sun start to come down here is a really relaxing part of the day.
We showered and changed for dinner which tonight we would eat in the terrace restaurant. Before hand we sat in barefoot bar with the sun on our backs and looked out to sea.
The relaxation didn’t last long. During dinner the kids mini disco kicked off at 20:30 with baby shark. Becky was loving it and probably would have gone over to join in if I had let her. We did let our inner kids out by playing air hockey in the games area. Two very spirited games that nearly saw a passing child get hit in the head, were of course won by myself. We had a couple of drinks in the lively main bar since we were able to grab a table before making a retreat to our tranquil complex.
