Up bright and early so took Sacha for a walk along the beach. Then again after breakfast went for a good long walk around the Perhariday headland. I managed to take a path that led to a wall with a six foot drop. Since I dislike backtracking I clambered down somehow.
Drove to Leclerc supermarket and bought 8 boxes of different red wines. It wasn't that cheap but I just hope it is good. Also some bottles of white, rose and champagne. It cost a small fortune- anybody would think I was an alcoholic. I'm actually a chocoholic so I bought a huge jar of drinking chocolate
Then I had my hair cut in the supermarket- as you do. They did a good job.
Then I treated the van to a self service wash so my new hairdo got soaked as it was windy.
Then I filled up with diesel- the cheapest yet. You can't really call it cheap, better to say less expensive as the French do Anyway it was 127euros per litre.
By now it was lunch time and I was in a rush to eat some hot chicken I had bought. Couldn't find a picnic site so went to the outskirts of St Pol de Leon and turned into a country lane. Just as I started to eat lunch I realised that I was parked across from a small recycling centre. Perched top of one of the bins was a very stiff dead fox.
Stupidly I hadn't looked at a map as there are many beautiful beaches about as I found later.
Then it was time to take Sacha to the vet to have the compulsory check on returning to UK. Apparently the rules have changed since January so the bubbly friendly lady vet told me. The time limit used to be within 48 hours and now it is 5 days. Also they no longer administer the tic oil but still give a deworming tablet. So a tablet, check the chip, sign the doggie passport and that is it for 30 odd euros.
It has been a sunny day with a blustery wind. However this evening on the beach it was bitterly cold but with beautiful sunset in front and a rainbow behind.
