Today was another very early start thanks to our french roommates getting out of bed at 545am (arrrrrggggggg), so we were on the road by 630am. It was chilly but very clear this morning, still lots of wind. Very cold on the ears! The road today was very flat and mostly along the main road between Fromista and Carrion...it was sorta boring to be honest! The mountain view and green hils were great, but being next to the road sort of tainted the landscape. I guess we´ve been spoiled so far on our journey.

Even though the roads seemed neverending, we managaed to get into town just before 11am. So the question was, do we push on another 17-20km or enjoy our saturday. We choose the latter! As we were the first to arrive at our refugio, which is a monastery, we managed to score a private room for 14 euros! Not too shabby. Checked in, washed our socks, and spent the afternoon sitting in the park by the river playing uno with a nice 2 euro bottle of wine (and it actually was good wine!)

After a bit of relaxation, we popped to the health centre and got some meds for my hands, hopefully it will now be sorted and no more rash...

We are finally on a computer with a USB, so pictures are now to follow, for real this time...tomorrow is another 25km day. Looking forward to staying in a family run hostel. More on that tomorrow...
