So we have now done 5000 miles. Does that mean we are getting tired of the travelling? Definitely not! every day is so different and there is the excitement of not knowing exactly what the day will turn up. Some days we drive for a while , have a leisurely coffee, stop for a long lunch and arrive at the stopping place for the night in time to have a drink and then prepare the meal. Last night we were in a little restaurant in the middle of nowhere, there was a blazing log fire which distracted us from the pouring rain outside. We were the only customers and all he offered was trout and jacket potatoes, no veg no desert! it was heavenly as he had caught it in the lake by the house and the fish were enormous and melted in the mouth. During the night the snow line came very much closer to us and it was freezing but the volcano remained a stunning sight. Some days we walk and some days we just chill, the options are limitless and mean we never tire of it. At the moment I am sitting listening to hundreds of green parrots that are roosting in a tree nearby. We are in Pucon tonight and the volcano is hidden in the clouds but tomorrow the sun may shine and we will see it in all it's glory. Please keep up the messages as we do love to read them and keep in touch.
