Left Tom in John's capable hands today. He wants to start his paint-by-numbers! Sally & Ian head off to Poitiers for a proper look around. Rain has cleared and it's now very hot again. Got a park underground in the middle of the city then caught a bite to eat in the main square. Some very nice architecture but not much else. Shops very 'designery' and over-priced! Lots of cafes situated around the squares and gardens.

John had a little sanity left by the time we got back - not much painting done, but Tom now has a wasp/fly/hornet phobia and an interest in sextants!
