Le Grande Fete en Lignac.
What a scorcher! Too hot to do much other than a look around the market stalls, a quick beer and a baguette back at the house. Tom and John went to sail a model boat while Sally watched Eastenders and Ian sunbathed in the backyard. At 10pm we went down to the village square for a look around the sideshows before heading 5 minutes up the road to watch the fireworks display. A great 15 minute show to equal anything we've seen back home. Then the old and young went for a spin on the dodgems while Ian and Sally ate barbes-papas (candyfloss) .... not the ideal food to have when there are thousands of insects flying around the lights.....more like flypaper than cotton-candy.
