Buon giorno! Made it to Venice without too much drama, although a 31 hour journey, with our stopover in Dubai! (All we saw there was a dusty skyline from inside the Emirates terminal!). After collecting our baggage at the Venice airport, we went on a scenic journey through the carpark, over some muddy median strips, across a couple of entry roads and over a short concrete barrier .... to catch up with the CORRECT paved walkway to the port from the terminal, to catch our water taxi to the hotel! Great start and quite an amusing trek!!! Stickman did well not to get his stick stuck in the stick sized holes in the paving!!! It's a grey day and cool, but nothing can dampen our spirits, having arrived here in this amazing place! Chow! Xx
