What the ....? Can't believe the calibre of the cars around here. Our afternoon of sitting in the pub people watching, became car watching!!! Then when we came back to the apartment, this is what greeted us - a Maserati just outside our door!! Perhaps it's there in readiness to take us to the station tomorrow morning!!! Had a lovely morning strolling around at Harrods and then we went up to the shops at Notting Hill, to the post office and then to The Old Sw...

Had an interesting experience at Abbey Road. It was unusually very busy due to a movie, 'About Time', being filmed there. Lots of people standing around and barriers up to constrain annoying tourists like us!!! Despite that we both managed to get a couple of shots and had a quick look while our cabbie waited. The we went off to Portobello Road and shock and horror .... found a pub for a drink and a snack and then strolled home and watched the last bit of coverag...

Another day... Another palace. Had a lovely day with a sleep in and tea and a scone at a small eatery around the corner in Kensington. Walked to the palace and enjoyed a leisurely stroll around the beautiful gardens and around the recently opened 4 floors open to the public. From there went off for a cab ride to Abbey Road. .........

Here we are back in London. All settled in at our little apartment which is lovely. We have certainly moved up in the world from the first apartment we had 2 years ago in Hackney, but have enjoyed the different locations and experiences. Of course we found a pub in our street. After unpacking, and getting the washing machine going, toddled off to the Mall Tavern (corner pub) for a pint and dinner! We'll go wandering tomorrow, probably including a look at Kensing...

Had a beautiful dinner in a gorgeous old Welsh restaurant, and were serenaded by a harpist during the evening!! Very special. We have been to Bath this morning and are now on our way to Salisbury, Stonehenge and then to London. We are safe from the flooding but have been traveling in constant rain. I think we've only had one fine day so far, in Dublin. All good and looking forward to a couple of days pottering around London our own!! Xx
