Anne Frank's house was amazing to see this afternoon, after reading her diary when I was about 13. Being there was very sobering and moving. From there we sauntered down past our place for a drink. Farewell cheers from the little bar up the road, on our canal, Prinsenstraat!!! Xx

Last day in Amsterdam!!! Today we have visited the Rijksmuseum and also the Van Gogh Museum. Amazing to see so many iconic paintings in one day!! We are now in the queue to go into Anne Frank's house, just a couple of blocks from our apartment. We've managed to pack a fair bit into a short time here and can't believe that our 2 months in Europe will be all over tomorrow!!! Hello from a hot Amsterdam!! Apparently we timed it perfectly to be here for the hottest 2 days of the year (but it hasn't been too uncomfortable compared to the temperatures in Italy!). Today we went on a half day bus tour around the city taking in the important sites including a diamond factory, but we resisted temptation there!!! Call us skeptical about their 'special prices'!!!!! After that we did a canal tour, seeing Amsterdam from a different perspective....
