Deb's Adventures
I have been told that I need to Blog more and post more pictures. This request has come from several people so I will try to write more posts. Most days we just hang out at the house and hike and swim a little. Lesley is actually reading her 2nd book since her arrival so am guessing she is in full on relaxing mode. Yeah Lesley.
We live on the edge of Horsetooth Park which is full of hiking trails and includes a six mile long lake. Most mornings we take a four mile hike that starts from our house and loops around a small mountain. It is a great way to get in some good exercise early in the day. Today we remembered to bring the camera so we can share some of the sights with all of you.
We actually had a fair amount of rain earlier in the season so the wildflowers are amazing. They are in full bloom right now and the variety is better then I have ever seen.
The views are beautiful. From a lot of point on the hike we can look back and see our house and Lory State Park to the West. We can see clear to Wyoming to North. Even though we can not see Kansas to the East it sure feels like we can. It is amazing how flat the landscape is to the East.
Our dog Hagrid loves to hike and gets so excited for our morning family outing. I sometimes think the most exciting part of his day is when Lesley gets out of bed so we can start getting ready for our walk. We have been trying to get an early start because it has been so hot here. We have reached 100 Fahrenheit several days in a row now. Lesley is loving it.
