We went to bed early last night and I fell asleep right away but only ended up sleeping from 9pm until about midnight. I really did not expect to have so much trouble readjusting to US time. It was so easy going the other way. Oh well. I am sure my normal routine will emerge soon and I will get back to sleeping. Around 3:30am I gave up all hope of going back to sleep and decided to get up and shower and get organized. I left for the airport on a 5am shuttle. My flight was not until 8am but I was so bored in the hotel. I figured I would have breakfast and walk around the airport. I was amazed at how busy LAX was at 5:30 in the morning. Today is my last day on the East Coast. Ryan and I drove back to Mom's for an afternoon of football, fondue and presents. We finally had a little Christmas celebration. We watched football, (so happy the Patriots are going to the Superbowl), drank champagne and had fondue for dinner. We had a very simple present exchange after dinner.
