After setting up camp we cooked dinner straight away using some of the vegetables won the day before. We combined this with a Chicken Kiev for another delicious meal.We chose to hang about the camper and watch an episode of"The Long Way Down" DVD that night.
The next morning we went for a walk around the town centre before hitting the road.Next destination unknown.
We stopped in Gunnedah for lunch by a picturesque cricket oval where there was a match in progress. We drove on to Tamworth, which was a much larger town than we had thought. We kept moving as there were some campsites out of Tamworth we wanted to check out.
The first at Woolomin looked a good spot - very green beside the Peel River. But we continued to check out a few other spots. The next at Bowling Alley Point by the Chaffey Dam looked a great spot for boating enthusiasts with water crafts all in the water. This spot however was a bit uneven so we moved on.Nundle was a small town with a caravan park, but we were after a free spot for a couple of nights. We looked at two other campsites near here before deciding to head back to Woolomin. This turned out to be a great choice. The camp site was free but had no power. However, our camper battery managed to run the fridge and lights for 3 nights with no trouble.
