We found a lovely spot here to camp for a week while we explore cairns and prepare for our adventure up to the Cape! Our site is undercover and we are surrounded by nature everywhere we look. Many types of birds here we have been introduced to a bowa bird and his hide, which he takes great pride in. Whoa... Such a cool stop. Here at Mt Suprise, we stayed 2 nights at planet earth adventures. We had heard about the volcanoes here so went for a walk around them at undura national park. For the long weekend here in FNQ we stayed in Adel Grove. Forrest like campground and stunning swimming area in the river with pontoon, swinging rope and inner tube tyres to float lazily on, another piece of paradise. A 1 night road stop turned into a 3 day break. We fell in love with the peaceful surroundings and met some really lovely people here who taugh me how to use my new fabby-dingle camera.
