Babinda great free camp in this quaint little town. Girls had just as much fun here with the little playground and nightly spotlight with the other camping children.
The local bakery came in the afternoon to drop off left over cream buns! And the fruit nveg man came round each night with fresh produce to buy! Do cheap $1.50 for enormous avocado and bunch of bananas..great value.
Brilliant location for day trips out. Of course we went to see Babinda Boulders! Beautiful spot. Josephine falls were fabulous and heaps of fun. We pulled at the same time as a group of backpackers, so there was heaps of activity in the falls. Candeece joined in and enjoying sliding down the rocks under the waterfall into the freezing pool.
Our informants told is the place to spot cassowaries is Etty Beach. So camera ready and off we went eager to capture one! Mikayla is fascinated by them. Unfortunately it wasn't our luck day there although we enjoyed a lovely lunch over looking the bay itself and a fabulous much need coffee! Great spot.
