We caught the early morning ferry to Wellington on the North Island. With childhood memories of going over to France, we were quite excited about being on a ferry for 3 hours, unfortunatley it turned out to be a rather long boring journey.

We had a quick look round Wellington and visited the museum but it felt like any other city really with lots of interesting stuff to do for a high price. We drove another 3-4 hours North to another city called Palmerston North. A very windy and cloudy drive but it was a nice and busy town when we got there.
