Had a lie in today and then headed off on the road to Dunedin, along the way we headed to see boulder beach. Parked up at the car park and started to walk down the path to the beach to be greeted by a sign charging 2dollars to see the boulders, the one thing that annoys me most in the world is folk thinking they can charge people to see natural things, totally ignoring the sign we went down to beach and played on the boulders for a while.

Headed off to Dunedin which is apparently Gaelic for Edinburgh, finally found hairdressers that was open, woman thought I was a bit mental when she spotted the lump of hair missing from the back of my head. Nothing much open on a Sunday so we headed off to the cinema at night to watch body of lies, was quite good.

Next day and we decided to go for a swim as we'd been getting pretty lazy recently, attempted to teach Brid how to swim but she seems to have invented her own stroke. After lunch we headed to the Cadbury's factory that was in the middle of town, it was really good, you got tons of tasters, at one point you had to eat as many chocolate bars as you could while watching a 2mins video, I only managed 2. Went around another book shop buying some cheap and nasty books before heading off to a campsite for the night.

Next day we visited some water falls nearby, was a fair walk through a damp forest. Took the scenic route down the coast, not much to see before we get to Invercargill, went to try and see a petrified forest but the tide was too high and we couldn't see a thing. Arrived in Invercargill and headed off to the supermarket to get some supplies. We wanted to go to Stewart Island from here but it turned out the ferry was really expensive and there's not much to do there anyway, the weather forecast wasn't looking to good anyway. Spend the rest of the day wandering around Invercargill and looking in shops.

Went swimming again this morning and had another long stroll around the town centre before headed along the south coast. Stopped at McCracken's Rest where everyone traditionally gets out and bares their arses on the sign. There were 2 other cars there when we pulled in so we waited for them to go before giving it a go, heaps of cars drove past while we were doing it and properly though we were a right bunch of t*** . Found a campsite and watched a DVD. Place is crawling with sand flies, really starting to get on my nerves.
