We woke up this morning and Sam and Steph had moved in the night because it was that windy in the night. They came back though after they had checked about Sam’s skydive. The weather was ok apart from the wind. At the moment it’s too windy but she’s booked in again at 10.00am so she has to go back and check again just before that. We all then got breakfast until it was time for her to go, she came back again, the wind is still too strong. She booked onto the 11.40am and said this would be the last one as she didn’t want to waste the day for everyone. This time though they would ring her so she didn’t have to keep going there. So we decided to try and go to the Volcanic Activity Centre again as it was closed yesterday. We all drove there to find out it was closed again today. There were quite a few things we could do in this area especially seen as the weather was dry. There was a place called ‘Craters of the Moon’ which was a walkway around an area with steam and mud pools. It was only $8 (£4) so we went in. It was bizarre to see the stream coming straight out of the ground all over the place. Also to see mud pools bubbling so that we could see and hear it was awesome. The walk took about an hour, which was just right. Sam gave the skydive people a ring as she’d not heard from them. They said it would have to be later still, Sam said it’s ok I won’t book another. She was so disappointed because she really wanted to do it. We needed petrol before setting off to Waitomo so we went back to Taupo, when we’d filled up we asked Sam if she wanted us all to go to Mcdonalds for lunch to cheer her up. This Mcdonalds actually has a plane attached that you can sit and eat inside, this put a smile back on her face. When walking back to the van Sam
