Altitude finally started to affect me & felt distinctly wobbly all day. So did as NHS Direct advised & was boring! Only a little wandering about & no alcohol :(.

Only having a fizzy water with a slice of lime in the English Pub was a sobering experience! Still was great to catch up with Renata since Guatemala.

Met up with Emma & her lovely tour mates on their last night. My halo then slipped & couldn't resist a few glasses of red. The bolivian house stuff was not half bad! Wine actually made me feel better. Perhaps I shall write to NHS & suggest alcohol as a cure for altitude sickness.

Took rather hairy taxi ride when I was not at all confident that the cab would make it up the steep La Paz mountainous streets but happily made it to the hostel in one piece at the cost of 1$. It was a La Paz rite of passage!
