Big day today, travelled to Lake Windemere in the famous Lake District, caught a ferry to Ambleside and had lunch in a great restaurant. Travelled back to Lancaster and did a guided tour of Lancaster Castle, pretty interesting for most Australians as this is where most convicts were deported from!
Visited my Aunt, spent time reminiscing and talking about the changes over the last 43 years.
Decided to visit Blackpool later this evening to see the illuminations however bit of a "fail whale" as they did not get turned on! Must say Blackpool looks and smells the same way it did 43 years ago! One part of town that has not moved on!
