Had a great B&B at Sandown ( Isle of Wight) very kind lady even putting a load of washing through for us. Very hilly & tight roads though, so much compacted in a small island. The weather was mostly good, but you have to remember to take an umbrella where ever you go. Had a lovely ploughmans lunch in a quaint little shop near the harbour at Cowes. And had 2 good crossings on the ferries.

We had our first day at the Goodwood Revival today, it is amazing how many
Classic cars & how busy it was. About 100 acres of car park, Bob was beside himself. I loved the period costumes (which is like the Melbourne Cup) everybody gets into it. The air show of WW2 Spitfires performing a dog fight was amazing to watch. We are staying at Bristol tonight, another huge city. It has beautiful wide promenades on the beach front where we are staying, lots of activities & heaps of beach huts on a pebbly beach.
We must have looked funny with jackets on while people were going in for a swim.
