Temp: Each morning the low is 48 degrees, high temps: 67 degrees.

We will do several days at a time as most days are pretty much the same for us.

We've all ready had some really great days here in Newport right on the bay and the ocean. Cool mornings but sunny all day. Some evenings the sea fog rolls in giving all the boats in the marina an eerie look. We usually walk out onto the end of the pier each evening and watch the people hauling in their crab pots, hoping for large, male Dungeness crabs. More often than not, they get the females, who have to be thrown back or they get red crabs, not as highly prized for eating.

Saturday we enjoyed the Newport Farmer's Market and all the beautifully displayed vegetables and fruits and the stunning flower bouquets. And LOTS of people!

We hosted our friends Clay and Charly for a fish feast Saturday, lots of Halibut and Ling Cod. The Ling Cod is interesting as the flesh is a bluish green color until cooked. They look that color because of all the kelp they eat.

On Sunday afternoon we head to Waldport and visit at Charly's new home. She has a beautiful spot with a little Garden of Eden in the back yard, lush with flowering plants, Huckleberry bushes, a greenhouse and lots of moss covered rocks and wood. And a sweet kitty. We had a lovely visit with her. After we arrived home the wind really picked up and we had some gusts around 30-35 mph; this is quite the 'ride' in a travel trailer. This is supposed to continue into Tuesday.

Evenings are pretty much the same, watching the sunset about 9:40, unless the sea fog has come in to cover the sun.
