Got up at 8.30am and went to breakfast at the hotel.

We then went on a walking tour around Gothenburg starting at Kungsportsplatsen square which was mostly a construction site covered in scaffolding.

We walked down to Saluhallen, the market place of Gothenburg and then on down past the Cathedral. Continued on past the Antique halls and across the river to the East India House that is now the City Museum. After getting a bit lost we made our way to the Old City Hall with the surrounding Kronhusbodarna buildings containing old fashioned shops.

We made our way up the hill and across a pedestrian bride to the harbour area and the Maritiman boat museum before walking on past the Opera house and on to the Nordstan Shopping Centre and Gustaf Adolfs Square.

After the walk around Gothenburg we returned to the hotel to drop off bags and went to lunch eating at a pasta place at the nearby shopping centre. Went back to the hotel again and got bags and took the tram down to Saltholmen then boarded a boat to go on a trip throught the islands of the southern archipelago. Weather was cold and wet so stayed inside the boat and had a coffee!

Went all the way down to Vrango and back which took a bit over 90 minutes then caught the tram back up to central station and dropped the bags off at the hotel before going out for dinner. Ate at a chinese restaurant before returning to the hotel to pack bags for train trip to Stockholm the next morning and watch Manchester Utd v Roma on TV. Bed at 11pm.
