We got up at 5.30am and had breakfast at the hotel, packed up our bags and walked to the central station to catch the train to Gothenburg.
Waited until platform for train was posted and then waited at the platform. No info on where we had to be on the platform then a minute before it left the screens updated and Gothenburg wasn't on the part of the platform we were. Walked down and saw the front half of the train went to Gothenburg while the back half only went as far as Helsingborg. So, even getting to the station half an hour before the train left we had to run to the other end of the platform to catch the train. Train seats were not the greatest for the 4 hour trip to Gothenburg arriving at 12.25pm.
Walked across square to hotel and checked in then went back to train station to reserve a seat on the train to Stockholm on Thursday. We ate lunch and then went back to the hotel for a rest. Went out for dinner eating at the Dubliner a short walk from our hotel which was quite good. Spoke to a couple of women from Gothenburg, one of which was planning on going to Longyearbyen next year then went back to hotel to watch Liverpool vs Arsenal on TV then bed at 11pm.
