Arrived from Budapest at 10.30am after changing trains in Füzesabony. Walked into town which took about 15 minutes and visited the Tourist Information centre for a town map. Started our walking tour of Eger at Eger Cathedral before walking past the Bishop's Palace and then stopping for lunch. After lunch we walked past the Cistercian Church towards the castle. Arrived back in Budapest at 4.30pm, returned to hotel and rested before going to dinner at the nearby John Bull Pub which had good meals at reasonable prices.

Arrived in Budapest from Ljubljana at 11am and passed through immigration. Got some local currency from the ATM at the airport and the took the airport shuttle bus to our hotel, Marriott Budapest.After checking in and having a rest in the hotel we went out for lunch before catching the metro to Keleti Station to validate our rail pass.
